Tyler Frank (he/him) is a Ph.D. student in the Public Health Sciences program at the Brown School. He studies food insecurity in pregnant people in the U.S., emphasizing the life course, birth outcomes, and mental health outcomes. Tyler has collaborated on projects at the Social Policy Institute involving food security, maternal health, mental health, and implementation science. In the summer of 2024, he will work as an Associate at the University of Chicago for Chapin Hall’s Equity First Program while progressing on his dissertation.
Before starting the doctoral program, Tyler earned a Master of Science in Applied Health Behavior Research from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis while working as a Clinical Research Coordinator and Lab Manager in the Department of Neurosurgery. He is a professionally certified group fitness instructor and has taught multiple fitness formats at CycleBar, PLNK, and Sumers Rec. He recently finished his first IRONMAN 70.3 in Galveston TX with the WashU Tri Team and looks forward to more travel and music events this year.
