Fair Pay for Home Care: Campaign of the
New York Caring Majority (NYCM)
Bobbie Sackman’s work addresses the critical and growing need for elder and end-of-life care. The campaign to increase home care worker pay successfully secured a $2 per hour wage increase for the state’s vital care workers. Bobbie exemplifies social work values by promoting social justice for those who are the most vulnerable in society. Her work, alongside home care workers themselves in this campaign, demonstrates her deep and enduring commitment to equitable community practice.
