The coronavirus pandemic has put further strain on a national child care system in crisis, but local efforts to transform early childhood care and education (ECE) could help catalyze recovery for the St. Louis region.
At the forefront of the movement to sustain high-quality and equitable ECE is Katie Rahn, executive director of SouthSide Early Childhood Center. Dr. Rahn has worked in the field of early childhood as a classroom teacher, center administrator, consultant and a college instructor.
